Community Guidelines
Aleto is for sharing real moments around places and cities. These guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on Aleto.
1. Be lawful and respectful
Do not use Aleto to break the law, encourage illegal activity, harass others, threaten people, exploit others, or create unsafe situations.
You are responsible for the videos, captions, tags, comments, reports, review requests, and other content or activity you submit through Aleto.
2. No harassment or bullying
Do not post content or comments that:
- Threaten, shame, intimidate, stalk, or target another person.
- Encourage others to harass, bully, attack, or shame someone.
- Use slurs, degrading attacks, or dehumanizing language.
- Repeatedly target a person against their wishes.
- Expose someone to unwanted attention, humiliation, or coordinated abuse.
3. No hate, extremist, or terrorist content
Do not post hate content, praise or promote extremist violence, praise or promote terrorist activity, or attack people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or similar attributes.
Do not use Aleto to recruit for, support, glorify, or organize violent extremist, terrorist, or hate-based activity.
4. Child safety and CSAE
Aleto has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, sexualization of minors, or any content or behavior that exploits, abuses, sexualizes, or endangers children.
Do not upload, request, promote, share, threaten to share, link to, joke about, normalize, or attempt to obtain this type of content.
Users can report child-safety concerns in the app where reporting is available, or contact legal@aleto.video with the subject “Child Safety”.
Aleto may remove content, restrict or terminate accounts, preserve evidence where legally required or appropriate for safety, and report suspected child exploitation to relevant authorities where required or appropriate.
5. No nudity, pornography, or sexual solicitation
Do not post nudity, pornography, sexually explicit content, sexual solicitation, non-consensual intimate content, creepshots, hidden-camera sexual content, or content intended primarily for sexual gratification.
Do not post or threaten to post intimate or sexual content of another person without consent.
6. No graphic violence or dangerous content
Do not post graphic gore, credible threats, instructions for serious harm, weapon misuse, self-harm encouragement, dangerous challenges, or content that creates real-world safety risks.
Do not use Aleto to organize violence, encourage attacks, praise real-world harm, or create panic through false emergency claims.
7. No scams, regulated goods, or unsafe activity
Do not use Aleto to promote scams, fraud, illegal goods or services, weapons misuse, drugs, tobacco, alcohol misuse, counterfeit goods, stolen goods, gambling abuse, or other regulated, restricted, unsafe, or dangerous activity.
Do not impersonate people, organizations, emergency services, public authorities, or Aleto staff.
8. Respect privacy
Do not post:
- Private addresses, phone numbers, emails, identification documents, financial information, or private identifiers.
- Private conversations, private messages, or private images without permission.
- Videos that invade someone’s privacy or expose them in a harmful way.
- Content filmed in private spaces where people reasonably expect privacy.
- Content that enables harassment, stalking, doxxing, swatting, or real-world targeting.
9. Respect intellectual property
Only upload content you have the right to share. Do not upload content that violates copyright, trademarks, publicity rights, image rights, contractual rights, or other rights.
If you believe content on Aleto violates your rights, contact legal@aleto.video.
10. No spam, manipulation, or abuse of safety tools
Do not:
- Spam posts, comments, reports, likes, dislikes, favorites, review requests, or other activity.
- Use fake accounts, bots, scripts, or coordinated activity to manipulate Aleto.
- Mass-report content abusively or submit false reports.
- Abuse reporting, review, moderation, support, or account-deletion tools.
- Mislead users with fake events, fake emergencies, scams, manipulated context, or impersonation.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, App Check, security controls, moderation actions, or account restrictions.
11. Location-aware content
Aleto uses user-selected city and country information. Do not abuse city tags, local feeds, shared links, or local notifications to mislead people, target individuals, create false reports of real-world events, or cause panic.
If you share event-related or location-aware content, do not intentionally remove important context or present misleading claims as fact.
12. Reporting content
If you see content or behavior that appears to violate these guidelines, use the in-app report feature where available. You can also contact support@aleto.video.
Reports may lead to content being hidden, reviewed, restored, removed, or kept restricted. False, abusive, or manipulative reporting may result in action against the reporting account.
13. Moderation actions
Aleto may remove content, hide content pending review, reject or approve review requests, restrict accounts, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, limit features, preserve records, or take other action to protect users, comply with legal or platform requirements, and maintain the service.
Moderation decisions may be based on user reports, automated signals, administrator review, rate limits, safety systems, legal requests, platform requirements, or other abuse-prevention measures.
14. Appeals and review requests
If your post is hidden after reports, you may be able to request review in the app. A review request does not guarantee restoration.
We may reject review requests that are abusive, repeated, misleading, incomplete, or connected to serious safety, legal, or platform-policy risk.
