Account Deletion
You can delete your Aleto account from inside the Aleto app. If you cannot access your account, you can request deletion by email.
Delete your account in the Aleto app
- Open the Aleto app.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion request.
Account deletion is permanent. You cannot undo it after the deletion process is completed.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the Aleto app, email us at privacy@aleto.video with the subject “Aleto account deletion request”.
Please include:
- The email address used for your Aleto account.
- Your Aleto username, if you know it.
- A short statement that you want your Aleto account deleted.
We may need to verify that you control the account before processing the request.
What is deleted or anonymized
When your account is deleted, Aleto deletes or anonymizes account-related information such as:
- Your user profile document.
- Your username reservation.
- Your account identity in Firebase Authentication.
- Your comments and engagement records where deletion/anonymization is supported by the app’s deletion pipeline.
- Your favorites, views, reactions, report flags, and related account-specific records where applicable.
What may remain
Some posts or public content may remain visible in anonymized form after account deletion. This helps preserve public conversations, moderation integrity, safety records, and app functionality. Where content remains, it should no longer be linked to your active user profile.
Processing time
In-app deletion normally starts immediately. Email deletion requests are reviewed and processed as soon as reasonably possible after verification.
